Michael is married to Carolina and they have three children David, Sofia, and Daniel.  Michael and Carolina married in 2003 and since then they have lived in Atlanta (Georgia), Bogota (Colombia), Dubai (UAE), and they now live in Ave Maria (Florida).  The Mena Family has been parishioners of Ave Maria Parish since 2018, and they are actively involved in the community.

Michael earned two bachelor’s degrees from Georgia State University, one in Finance and the other in Spanish.  Later, he earned a master’s degree from Boston University in Insurance Management.  In addition, he earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, an Eagle Scout, and speaks fluent Spanish.  He has over 25 years of underwriting, teaching, and business development experience in both the US and abroad.  

Michael feels called to be a Field Agent.  He looks forward to serving your insurance and financial needs as a member of the Knights of Columbus through his years of education, professional work experience, and commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
